The Definitive Guide to Yard Sales for Profit - Part 2

WHAT:  Should this go in the yard sale?
Let’s start with clothes by going through your closets and drawers and separating items into categories according to their condition, age, and how often you wear them.

  • Items that need to be mended should not be placed back into storage until they are repaired.  If you are not going to fix those buttons, zippers or ripped seams, they should either be sold or donated.
  • Items that you have not worn in more than a few months (with the exception of seasonal items) should be fair game for the yard sale pile.

Other items that work well in a yard sale are anything related to arts and crafts, electronics, kitchen items and minor collections, but the truth is that just about anything can be sold at a yard sale!  If you have tons of stuff, you can have a successful yard sale.
