Why a Penny Saved is Better than a Penny Earned

I am faced with the anti-frugal on an endlessly tedious basis.  Several times a week I will hear the cries of It just isn’t worth the time or something similar. This is one of my favorite frugal myths to debunk because the truth is that saving money is infinitely more valuable than making it and it does not require a lot of intelligence to figure that one out.

I came across a simple and straight forward video clip on YouTube today that explains this scenario in clear and concise language that just about anyone can understand.  In about six minutes you will come to understand how saving ten dollars is worth a lot more than earning ten dollars.

It would seem that a penny saved is worth about 1.5 pennies earned.  Who knew?

Special thanks to YouTube user MoneyDummy for making this excellent video!
