Frugal Holiday Tips

Published by michaelnolan at 6:00 am under tip of the day Edit This

Just a quick heads-up for everyone:

Since every store in town is now already promoting Christmas products (even though we aren’t even to Halloween yet), I have made the decision to begin sharing some of my favorite frugal holiday tips that are sure to save you a bunch of money over the course of this holiday season.  Be on the lookout for everything from frugal christmas wrapping paper to low-cost (and free) gifts for the toughest people on your list to buy for.

If you have a favorite money saving tip for the holidays that you’d like to share with the Frugal Living Today readers, let me know.  If I use in on the site, you’ll be the recipient of a shiny new link to your web site as my way of saying thanks!

We must all be of the same mindset - I’m doing a series this week on my Vacation Planning blog, and Monday’s topic is how to save money for holiday vacations.

Things have been tight for us for a couple of years, and last year I couldn’t buy for my grown kids like I always have in the past. So I gathered up photos from family members, and put together really cool photo and memory albums for each of them, with each one “starring” in his own book. They loved them - I just wish I could have made a copy of each one for myself too!
    :-)

And even though it was a less expensive gift, both boys told me it was the best present they’d ever received. YAAY!!

This year, I’m trying to make them a cookbook of family recipes.

Great post. I’ll be checking back to see how I can save this year.
