We Have a Winner!

Published by michaelnolan at 9:26 am under tip of the day Edit This

Congratulations to mcnally1 from Politicsplace.Today.com  for winning the $10 CVS Card giveaway contest that ended over the weekend. mcnally1, send me your mailing address privately and I’ll get the gift card in the mail ASAP!  This was the winning frugal idea(s):

I clip coupons to save money.I buy mostly generic products. I buy things like toilet paper and paper towels in bulk. I buy everything with cash or debit card. I have a used car so we don’t have a car payment. My husband takes the train to work to save money. I spend about $80.00 a week including diapers to feed a family of three. For Thanksgiving, I got a free ham from my local grocery store. I always try to be thrifty. I try and buy things out of the box or floor models. This is how we got $200.00 off of our television. As a young stay at home mom, I live for coupons and sales.

There were several great ideas suggested in the comments of that post so be sure to have a look for yourself and don’t miss the next contest here on Frugal Living. And here’s a tip for today:  If you aren’t using it, unplug it.  Unused electronics can use as much as 40% of the eletricity they require when they are actually running!  That goes for cell phone chargers and anything else that sits unused.
