Get It Free Month Day 15 - Tax Free (Well, sorta)

Published by michaelnolan at 8:46 pm under tip of the day Edit This

The time is upon us once again my frugal friends.  The time when Americans from coast to coast scramble to ensure we have all those receipts and W-2s in order, wondering what exemptions we might dream up to claim on this year’s taxes.

If you have collected your paperwork but don’t have the massive income to justify the use of a tax preparer or Certified Public Accountant to do the dirty deed for you, why not take advantage of the free edition of Turbo Tax that you can use online at no cost to you?

Bear in mind that the free edition is only for basic returns that use the 1040 form for the return so if yours will require more detailed paperwork than that you should get everything together as early as possible and call the IRS toll free hotline for help as early as you can, before the telephone lines get backed up for hours!
